Analyzing the Compare Budget Screen

Modified on Sun, Feb 26, 2023 at 10:45 AM

The Payroll > Payroll > Compare Budget screen allows you to compare the account numbers that were used in a prior payroll.  Most districts compare this payroll to the previous payroll.  This allows you to see if an account number was used incorrectly and make any necessary corrections before the payroll is finalized.  A red box in the "This Payrolls" column means that the account number is not being used in this pay period.  A green box in the "Other Payrolls" means nothing was charged to that account in the previous payroll selected.  The "Total Difference" column shows the difference of what was charged in the previous payroll as compared to this payroll.

Use the "Comparing to Payroll" drop-down to choose the payroll you wish to compare this payroll to.  For example, you are running the 1/31 pay and you want to compare it to the 1/15 pay.  You will Click the Compare Budget Tab on the 1/31 payroll and use the drop-down to select the 1/15 pay.
