New Jersey Division of Pensions & Benefits (NJDPB) Census / OPEB Data Review Report

Prerequisites:

There should be no errors on the Payroll -> Pensions -> Records screen.    


Output:

This report will produce a multi-sheet Excel file.


Data Used:

The report will combine all records from the selected range of payrolls that are flagged core.   Only the Payroll type record per employee will be used (It will not include 2nd checks, hand checks etc..)



Excel Tabs:

Pension Data Errors

This will be included as the first page of the Excel If there are any employees that are included in the report that do not have a tier or pension enrollment date.   This data needs to be corrected before the information provided on the other tabs will be useful.




Part 1 #1

This tab will include all employees in the selected payrolls that have a value in the either the Pension Deduction Amount or Back Pension Deduction Amount column.


State Requested DataList of: a) names of active employees that are eligible to participate in the PERS, the TPAF, and/or the PFRS , whether employment is full-time or part-time; and c) the date of enrollment into pension fund. 




Part 1 #2

This tab will include all employees in the selected payrolls that have a no value in both the Pension Deduction Amount and Back Pension Deduction Amount columns.


State Requested Data : List of names of active employees that are ineligible to participate in the PERS, the TPAF, and/or DCRP 




Part 1 #3

This tab will include all employees that have a pension enrollment start date <=90 days before the start date of the first payroll selected to run the report with.


State Requested Data List of newly enrolled employees for each pension fund containing the following information: a) name; b) last four digits of social security number; c) date of birth; d) sex; e) date of hire; and f) marital status 




Part 1 #4

This tab will include all employees where any of the following fields changed during the payroll reporting period:

  1. Pension Type (TPAF to PERS, TPAF to nothing etc..)
  2. Pension Amount or Back Pension amount contains a value in an earlier payroll, but then contains no value in a later payroll


State Requested Data List of employees who had status changes for each pension fund during the period
