Utilizing the Sort Column feature

Modified on Fri, Apr 12 at 1:42 PM

All SchoolFi tabs now contain the Sort Column function.  The function will allow the user to sort the columns on the screen and the sort will be honored when exporting to excel.  The Sort Column

To utilize the sort column, click on the "three bars" for any any column that has the "three-bars" displayed.  A click will sort ascending (noted by an up-arrow)

And a second click on the "three bars" will change the sort to descending (noted by a down-arrow)

Sort Columns for multiple columns

You can utilize the sort column feature for multiple columns.  To do this you would hold the Control (Ctrl) button and click on the column.  Again, one click for ascending and a second click for descending.

In the following example, the Invoice number is ascending and is the "first" column sorted and  BSheet is ascending and is the "second" column sorted (denoted by the "2") and Description is descending and is the "third" column sorted (denoted by the "3").

NOTE: You can not remove all sorting, because the tab needs to be sorted in some manner.  If you want to "clear" a sort, we recommend clicking on another area you would like the screen to be sorted by.
