Conference Form Parameters/Properties

Modified on Mon, Feb 27, 2023 at 9:47 AM

Conference Form parameters are found on the Properties screen of the Conference From (Evaluations→Conference Forms→Modify Conference Form→Properties):

The fields exposed on this screen include:

  • Name - This is the description of or name for the form.  This is what users will see.  It appeared on the Create Form dialog as the "Description".
  • Usage.  The usage dictates where the Conference Form can be used in SchoolFi and controls which drop downs this new form will appear in.   More information on the various usages can be found here.
  • Seq - This controls where this Conference Form appears in any list of Conference Forms including that on the "List of Conference Forms" screen as well as in all Conference Form drop down.   Conference Forms are not displayed in alphabetical order.  This appeared on the Create Form dialog as the "Display Sequence".
  • Max Width of Form on Screen in points (72 points per inch)
  • Width (%) of the question column - This controls how wide the "question part of the screen" is vs the "answer part".  The default is 50%, which can be rather awkward looking.
  • Used in Observation Reports - This indicates the Conference Form will be part of Observation Reports and turns on the possible use of the link to a Rubric, in the next parameter.
  • Map to Rubric - If the Conference Form is going to be used in the Evaluations system, each question can be tied to a specific "Page Group" of a Rubric.  To enable that, the Rubric must be selected here.  This enables the Evaluation System to display the answer to the question with other information from the selected Rubric Page Group.
