What are Employee Forms?

Employee Forms

Employee Forms in SchoolFi are a path to accomplishing several possible tasks:

  • Publishing documents out to staff members.  This is accomplished by uploading PDFs to push out to staff members.
  • Capturing input from staff members and optionally producing PDF versions of the filled form.  This is implement via a Conference From.
  • Capturing input from staff members and routing the filled form for approvals.  This ties the input Conference Form to an Approval Chain used to route the filled form to the designated approvers.


The simplest way to describe an Employee Form is an input Conference Form tied to an output PDF Form.  The "Employee Form" structure links the input form (always a Conference Form) which is used to capture information from a staff member, to a PDF Form which is used to display and or print information from a staff member's record.   Input form tied to output form.



Employee Form Possibilities

  1. An Employee Form, as described above, can be used to capture information from a staff member, and then display that information in a particular "output" view (a PDF Form).
  2. Employee Forms can also be used to simply display existing information - an Output PDF Form without a corresponding input Conference Form.
  3. Or, an Employee Form can simply be used to capture information from a staff member, without rendering it for display - an Input Conference Form without a corresponding output PDF Form.

 


Input by Employee Forms - Conference Forms

The input side of an Employee Form - if it will be used to capture information from a staff member - is a Conference Form of type "Employee Form".  These are created/maintained in the Evaluations are:  Evaluations→Setup→Conference Forms.



Set the "Category Filter" to "Employee Forms" to see only the Conference Forms that can be used with the Employee Form system.



Output by Employee Forms - PDF Forms

The output side of an Employee Form - if it will be used to display information for or to a staff member - is a PDF Form.  These are created/maintained in under Setup→PDF Forms.


Set the "Filter" to "Employee Forms" to see only the PDF Forms that can be used with the Employee Form system.
