Analyzing the Deductions Screen

The Payroll > Payroll > Deductions screen shows all deductions being used this pay period.  The data on this screen can be exported to Excel by using the Excel icon at the top, right corner of this screen.

 



Columns:

  • Deduction - shows the type of the deduction
  • Description - shows the name of the deduction.  Clicking on the link takes you to the deduction setup screen.
  • Type - shows if the deduction is a 403b or 457b
  • Agency - shows the Agency vendor to which this deduction is linked.  Clicking on the link takes you to the Agency vendor's screen.
  • Usages - shows the number of employees who have this deduction in this payroll.  Clicking on the link takes you to the screen below which lists all employees with this deduction along with their deduction amounts for this pay period.  The audit icon  shows the calculation used for the deduction.  The data on this screen can be exported to Excel by using the Excel icon at the top, right corner of this screen.

       


  • Total - the grand total of all employees deductions for this deduction this pay period.
  • ER - the employER portion of this deduction for this pay period.
  • Deduction Max Wages/Withheld - The Max Wages/Withheld values are from the current deduction configuration (Payroll.Deductions screen) and may not be the values used at the time of the payroll run. The individual deduction audits will show the values used at the time of the payroll calculation.
