Be sure to do the following when making an employee inactive:
On the Demographics screen:
- Change the Employment Status field from Active to Inactive
- Enter the Contractual End Date
On the Employment History screen:
- Enter the Employment End Date
- Enter the Exit Code (if a History Tracking record does not exist, click the "Add Employment History Record" to create one)
On the Positions screen:
- Enter the Position End Date for all positions the employee is leaving+
On the Payroll > Summary screen:
- Remove the Salary Balance and Pays Left
Employee Portal:
- If your district will not keep the portal open for inactive employees, disable the employee's portal
