How to Create a Recurring Casual Other Earning

Modified on Fri, Sep 8, 2023 at 7:37 PM

Navigate to the employee's Other Earing tab and click on the Add Casual Other Earnings button. The information for the casual earning in the popup box will be for the FIRST payment that the staff member will receive.

For this example, the teacher will receive $100 per pay, or $2,000 for the entire school year for working a 7th period.

  • Other Earning:  Select the other earning for the casual compensation
  • Payroll Ending:  Will be set to the current payroll
  • Date:  This is an optional field, we recommend not utilizing for this example because the casual will be recurring
  • Note:  Optional field for a note related to the casual earning
  • Quantity:  Create this many other earnings, one in this payroll and each subsequent payrolls. The amount entered will be the amount used on each payroll.
  • Account Number:  Select the expense account that will be charged for the casual earning
  • Total Amount:  This is the total amount for EACH PAYROLL that the individual will be paid.

For this example, we entered 20 in the quantity because this teacher will receive 20 consecutive casual earnings.

When everything is complete, click the Add button and the 20 casual earnings will be programmed to automatically pay the staff member for the entire school year.
