When a staff member goes on a leave of absence and the District hires a temporary replacement, the temporary leave replacement staff member can be placed in the same position as the staff member who is going out on leave. There may be "crossover" time when both the contractual staff member and the temporary leave replacement staff members are both active and included in payroll.
When the position tracking record is created for the temporary leave replacement staff member, both the Temporary Position and the Will Not Return Next Year boxes should be checked.
