Setting / Reviewing the BSR Line Number (2024-25 and thereafter)

The BSR Line number field links the Revenue and Expense Accounts to the Report of the Board Secretary (BSR) and to the Budget Build module.  The BSR Line number can be reviewed / set on the Financial >>>  Setup >>>  Budget Accounts >>>  List tab.  

You can individually set the BSR Line Number for a revenue or for an expense account by clicking on the Edit button.  In the pop up window, locate the Line Number field and itilize the drop-down to select the appropriate BSR Line Number.  

If you are unsure about what the proper Line Number is, you can refer to the Uniform Minimum Chart of Accounts issue by the New Jersey Department of Education or you can utilize the Budget Lines tab.  In addition, the lines can be reviewed in the Board Secretary Report (BSR) Samples published by the New Jersey Department of Education. 

Other Ways to assign BSR Line Numbers 

• Auto Assign button:  SchoolFi assign the BSR Line number based on the account number
• Set the BSR Line number for selected accounts
• Copy BSR Line numbers from a different school year.

You can utilize the Budget Lines tab to review the complete list of BSR Lines.  We recommend that you utilize the Fund and/or Type field to narrow the information that is displayed.  

IF YOU DO NOT FIND A BSR LINE NUMBER, WE SUGGEST YOU REVIEW THE 2024-25 BUDGET GUIDELINES FOR THE BSR LINE NUMBER.
