All Health Plans (medial, prescription, Dental, Vision, Other & Other2) are REQUIRED to have a contribution group associated with the respective plan. The Contribution Group determines the employee / employer contributions for the health plan. The Contribution groups can be found on the Personnel >>> Setup >>> Health Plans >>> Contribution Groups tab.
In general, when a District converts to SchoolFi, the conversion team creates and applies the following Contribution Groups
- Chapter 78 (follows Tier 4 of Chapter 78)
- New Jersey Educators Plan (follows Chapter 44 requirements)
- Garden State Plan (follows Chapter 44 requirements)
- None (utilized for 100% employer funded plans - no employee contributions)
- 100% Employee Paid (utilized for 100% employee funded plans - no employer contributions)
The District can create as many custom contribution groups for any heath plans. These are usually required for "buy-up" plans or for plans that utilized a modified employee / employer contribution ratio from the standards contained in Chapiter 78 (tier 4) and Chapter 44.
