On the Payroll > Payroll > Direct Deposit screen, you will see that no direct deposit records are populated. To populate this screen with the direct deposit records, click on the Reserve ACH Advisement Numbers button.
Once all the direct deposit records are populated, you will be able to review the data. Notice that the direct deposit total is displayed as well as the number of staff and accounts used. The direct deposit total + the print checks total = the Payroll Net total. If you have a number link in the "Staff without a Portal Account" statistic, it will take you to the staff members who need an employee portal created.
To generate the direct deposit file that you will send to the bank, click on the Generate and Download ACH File button. Save the file to your computer and upload it to your bank.
Before the direct deposits are marked paid, if you find that you need to make a change to an employee's payroll record, you can click the Unreserve ACH Advisement Numbers button. Then make the necessary corrections, recalculate the payroll, then reserve the ACH advisement numbers again.
Once you have verification that the file was accepted, you can click the Mark All Reserved Entries as Paid button.
