Individual Employment Contracts

Overview

SchoolFi includes a Contracts module that allows you to create Individual Employment Contracts to be signed electronically by staff members in the portal.  A "Contract" is a PDF document generated from a "Contract Template" that is associated with the staff member's position.  A Staff Member's Contract(s) are displayed on the Documents screen of the Employee Portal, as well as the Staff Member's Documents tab in SchoolFi.

Contract controls are found under Personnel→Contracts


Staff Member Setup:  Demographics Tab

If the District issues different contracts for tenured vs non-tenured staff within the same group (like teachers), then the Tenure Date field on the demographics tab MUST be completed for staff members who attain tenure.  




Staff Member Setup:  Position Tracking Record

Staff members must have an active Position Tracking record to be assigned a new contract.  There is nothing else special that must be done for the staff member.  A Contract Template must be linked with the Position for a Contract to be generated for the staff member.   The Position Tracking record, MUST, at a minimum, have the fields populated that are highlighted below:
