Dependents on 1095c

Modified on Mon, Feb 27, 2023 at 6:31 PM

What controls the check boxes on a 1095c form in the dependents section is the Coverage From and Thru dates on the employee's Health Tracking Record.

For a dependent who turns 26 the 1095c year, if they are in a health plan with any of the flags set in the screen shot below, they will show as receiving health care for the entire year (unless a coverage from or thru date is entered that is different than the plan dates).

In the example below, the spouse's coverage ends on 10/31.

On the 1095c screen for the employee that date applies so that the boxes for November and December are not checked.  Which in turn translates through to the 1095c finished product.

The 1095c form reflects that the spouse had no coverage in November & December.
