Analyzing 1095 Rejection Files

Modified on Mon, Feb 27, 2023 at 6:55 PM

When the IRS sends you a REJECTED notice, you need to send back a whole new file after the errors indicated are corrected.  NOT A CORRECTION FILE!

When a 1095c file is rejected by the IRS they send you a file called an ACK file.  The file needs to be analyzed to find out why the IRS is rejecting it.  Please view this video for instructions on how to do the analysis.
