Overview

This task performs several processes related to the observations and evaluations.   Any task that creates, updates or deletes data is logged.

Set Evaluation Score Type for Staff

Sets the NJSMART Eval Score Type on the demographics tab if it is not already set for the staff member.

It will be set to Teacher if the Evaluation Category is Teacher.  

It will be set to ADMIN if the Evaluation Category is any value other than Teacher.

It will be left alone if the Evaluation Category field is blank.

Build empty NJSmartEval Records

Creates an empty NJSmartEval record For every Staff member that does not have one already.

Validate Observation Scores against Rubric

The following tasks are performed For each Rubric defined in the Evaluations.Setup.Rubrics Screen.

1. For Each Workflow that has a reference to the rubric:
   1. Look for scores (StaffObsRubricRowScore) that appear on pages outside of the rubric and delete those scores.  This happens when a page is removed from the rubric and observations have already been scored against the rubric.
   2. Look for scores (StaffObsRubricRowScore) that appear on rows that no longer exist.  This happens when a row is removed from a page and observations have already been scored against the rubric
2. Observation Scores are recalculated for any observation where a score was removed in the previous step.

Recalculate Observations

The following tasks are performed for each Observation in the system.   This task ensure that any changes to a rubric are applied to existing observations.

1. All alternate scores are recomputed for all existing row scores.  Lookup scores are defined in  the Evaluations.Setup.Rubrics.Modify screen where the Score an Additional Alternate Score dropdown is set to Lookup Table.   
2. Verify that all existing Row Scores have the correct points assigned.
3. All Page Scores are recalculated
4. All Page Group Scores are recalculated
5. The observation score (as defined by the workdlow) is recalculated.

Update Visibility of Observations

The following tasks are performed for each Observation in the system:

1. Observations are automatically set to be visible on the employee portal if the workflow option Show To Employee is set to Always.

Update Teacher SGO score fields on the NJSmart Eval Screen

The following tasks are performed for each Staff member in the system:

1. The SGO fields are copied from the SGO Forms to the NJSmart Eval Screen.
2. The average of the two fields is calculated and stored in the Teacher SGO Field.
