Updating Staff Records from Employee Forms

Data can be pulled from the questions in the Conference Form attached to an Employee Form directly into a staff member's Record.   Various built-in fields can be updated based on the Question's Answer Type.  This scheme results in the direct updating of staff record fields based on the staff member's "raw" responses to the questions.  

The Answer Types that can have linked built-in fields that can be updated include:

• Check - Single checkmarks
• Date - Single Dates
• Generic Codes - Selecting a Generic Code Set (i.e. a Codes table)
• Text Box - Capturing a line of text

Each of these Answer Types has a fixed, hardwired set of built-in fields that it is possible to pull answers into. 

These Questions MUST have a "CODE" specified in their CODE field.  For existing Questions, their Code field is found on the Evaluations→Conference Forms→Modify Form→Questions screen:

When adding a new Question, the Code field appear as the second field on the "Add Question" dialog:

Note that the Code is updated only when the Question is first added or on the Questions screen.  It does not appear on the inner "Modify Question" screen.
