Where to View Your Staff to Evaluate

As a Staff Member conducting Observations, you will be able to find a list of staff members being evaluated under "Evaluations" and the "Staff to Evaluate" Tab. You will use this tab in order to view any staff member scheduled/not scheduled for an observation, you can schedule observations, and view all or just your walkthroughs.

Different ways to search for Staff:

  • Name
  • Tenure Status
  • Eval. Category
  • Location
  • Time Period (Observation Period)
  • School Year
  • Inactive/Active/All
  • If the observation needs the Principal Signature
  • Show only your observations
  • Staff Lists

Once a staff member is searched for, you will get a screen that shows you their local id, name, tenure status, eval category, sgo scores, and any of the evaluations this staff member will receive. You can view the observation reports and their rubrics, the self assessment report and the rubric.

Staff Information You Can See from Here

There are a multitude of different staff information you can see from this tab:

  • Local ID
  • Last Name
  • First Name
  • Tenure Status
  • Evaluation Category
  • NJSMART Data
  • SGO Scores
  • PD Hours
  • Completed Observations
  • SGO Forms

NJSMART Data

If your district has this set, you can view the NJSMART Data of a staff member. Next to their Evaluation Category, there is a pen and paper icon. When you click this icon you will be brought to a new scree that will be populated as data is calculated with all information that is sent to NJSMART for that staff member.

SGO Scores

The SGO Scores column is populated with the Average SGO score at top (bolded) and the individual SGO form scores underneath.

PD Hours

The PD Hours column has a button with a number on it. This number is the current total PD Hours that staff member has logged in the system under their "Hours" tab. When you click on this button, a popup will display to show you each individual PD Event and the individual hours logged.

Completed Observations

You can view the completed observations that were conducted by other observers by clicking on the PDF Icons. The first is for the Observation Full Report. The second is for the scored rubric.

SGO Forms

You can view the submitted SGO forms for a staff member from the "Actions" column. When you click the "SGO #" button, the PDF report will load for that SGO form.

Observation Icons/Indicators

There are different icons and indicators that will display in each observation cell:

  • Pens
  • Green Dot
  • PDF Icons
  • Multiple Names
  • Date button

Pens

The pen icons tell you that an observation has been signed and by who.

There can be up to 4 signatures on an observation (Observee, Observer, Principal, Superintendent).

When you hover over each pen with your mouse, a popup will tell you who has signed.

Green Dot

A green dot means that the observation is completed/finalized.

When you hover over the icon with your mouse, a popup will tell you the date that the observation was completed/finalized.

PDF Icons

The first icon is for the Observation Full Report. The second icon is for the scored rubric.

When you hover over the icon with your mouse, a popup will tell you which is which.

Multiple Names

The bolded name next to the number 1 is the primary observer for that observation. The primary observer is the only one whose observation notes, scores, and data counts for that observation.

Any name after that (ie. 2., 3.) is considered the secondar and tiertiary observers. Their notes, scores, and data do not count towards that observation.

Date button

You will see this icon if you are the observer for that observation and have scheduled your observation. You can begin the observation by clicking this date button as well.
