The Healthcare record will scale the contributions based on the Position Term Code of the staff member. If there is a change of term code (ex. moving from 10 months to 12 months) it is important to review the Healthcare screen so that the dates of the record line up with when they will be receiving their new deduction amounts.
You will also want to verify that the Payroll - Summary screen Term Code matches the Position they have
When the new position is active, the healthcare record will automatically recalculate how it is scaling the plan. To ensure that there are clean historic and active records, if a term code is changed you will want to end the Healthcare record on the last day of the payroll the record is tied to.
The new Healthcare record should then begin on the following day (the next payroll start date). The end date should mimic the overall List of Health Plan screen end dates so there are no issues when it is time to rollover these records.
A good indicator that the plans are setup correctly will be if there is a bolded banner on the Health record that is tied to the 10 month position saying "Healthcare is scaled to be paid across 10 months." The new record that should mimic the position start date will then not have the bolded banner.
