Financial > Setup > Dimensions > Functions
The standard State Functions from the State's Chart of Accounts are pre-loaded into the system. They are identified by the green New Jersey symbol in the "State Defined" column.
Adding Functions
If you need to add an additional Function, click the "Add Function" button. This brings up the "Add Function" dialog:
- Code - enter the new Function number
- Description - enter the description of the new fund
- Federal Reporting - check this box if this Function is included in Federal reporting
- Parent Function - select the function to which this new function will collapse on the reports. Note in the example above how 210, 211 and 214 show 200 as the parent code.
Then click the "Add" button. This will add the new function to the list.
Modifying a Function
To modify a function, click the Properties button and make any necessary changes. Note, the only field that cannot be changed is the Code.
