Financial > Setup > Dimensions > Balance Sheet
The standard State Balance Sheet from the State's Chart of Accounts are pre-loaded into the system. They are identified by the green New Jersey symbol in the "State Defined" column.
Adding Balance Sheet
If you need to add an additional Balance Sheet, click the "Add Balance Sheet" button. This brings up the "Add Balance Sheet" dialog:
- Code - enter the new Balance Sheet number
- Description - enter the description of the new fund
- Parent Balance Sheet - select the Balance Sheet to which this new Balance Sheet will collapse on the reports. Note in the example above how 103A has 103 as the parent Balance Sheet code.
- Type - use the drop-down to select the appropriate balance sheet type
- Increase Column - use the drop-down to select either "automatically determine, credit or debit"
Then click the "Add" button. This will add the new Balance Sheet to the list.
Modifying a Balance Sheet
To modify a Balance Sheet, click the Properties button and make any necessary changes. Note, the only field that cannot be changed is the Code.
