The SchoolFi Messaging Facility
SchoolFi includes a Messaging Facility to alert system users when an 'Event' they have subscribed to has occurred.
If SchoolFi Messaging has been made available to you, you will see an envelope icon in the set of icons at the upper right corner of every SchoolFi screen:
Clicking on the icon at upper right brings up the SchoolFi Mailbox and Configuration dialog:
Messages can be sent both to your SchoolFi Mailbox and to your regular email.
The SchoolFi Mailbox, accessed via the envelope icon, is where you will receive and be able to read SchoolFi Event Messages.
The events that are available for you to subscribe to are found on the "Subscriptions" tab of the Messaging dialog
Currently Available Events
Message Events can be configured - turned on or off or limited to certain groups - at the District level. Configuration instructions are found here.
- Giving Users Access to SchoolFi Messaging
- Subscribing to SchoolFi Event Messages
- Reading and Working with SchoolFi Messages
- Timing Out: Automatically Expiring Messages
- Administering Messaging Event Types
This list will expand over time. Check often for additional Message Event types.
