The Evaluations > Setup > Settings tab is where you can setup district wide evaluation settings.

Below is a list of all settings and their functionality within the system:
Global
- Hide Summative scores until summative evaluations are signed. - If checked, staff members summative scores do not appear in their portal until the actual summative evaluation is signed - after presumably having been discussed with their primary evaluator.
- Professional Development records can automatically create attendance records - The Professional Development module can interact with staff member Attendance records and generate attendance records for events.

- Add self as an observer - staff members can have the ability to not just conduct a self-assessment of themselves, but have some observer functionality when conducting a self-assesment (ie. use of the "Notes" tab).
Portal.Evals.Staff to Evaluate Screen
- Observers can assign themselves if slot is not yet assigned - give the observations assignment responsibility to the observers to choose which observations they will be conducting.
- Observers can reassign themselves if slot is already assigned to someone else - give the observations re-assignment responsibiliy to the observers to choose which observations they will be taking from another observer.
- Observers can create Observations - allow observers to create additional observerations for a staff member when needed.
- Allow Observers to Un-Sign self observations - allow observers to un-sign self-assessment observations conducted by a staff member.
- Observer manually enables Observee Sign Button - give the observers the responsibility to push out the "Sign Observation" button to the observed staff member.
Portal.Evals.Staff to Evaluate.Manage
- Additional Email targets when observer has finished conducting observation - When the observer signs the final version of their observation, the system will send an additional email containing the Observation Report to the set of semi-colon separated email addresses
- Additional Email targets when observee signs and completes observation - When the observee signs the final version of the observation, the system will send an additional email containing the Observation Report to the set of semi-colon separated email addresses
- Only show Pre-Conference forms when they have been submitted by staff member.
- Only show Post-Conference forms when they have been submitted by staff member
Observation Response Comments
- Allow Response Comments - Allow the observed staff member to make response comments on their observation up until they sign off on that observation.
- Allow changes this many days after the observee and observer signatures - Allow the observered staff member to make or change their response comments after they have signed off on that observation for a certain number of days.
- Starting Number of columns of observations to display in the portal - this will change the length of the screen and columns for an observer on their "Staff to Evaluate" tab within the Employee Portal.
- Disclaimer for Response Comments - Text to display when prompting for the response comments.
- Disclaimer for Response Comments - write your own district wide disclaimer that can be displayed in the Employee Portal for when observed staff members are writing their Response Comments.
Portal.Evals.My Evaluations Screen
- Show name of workflow in the header of the observation note card - you can show the name of the given Workflow on the observation note card for the observed staff member.
- Hide Observation sign button until Observer has signed - The observee will not see the "Sign" button for an observation until the observer has signed it.
- Observation Signing Statement - write your own district wide observation signing statement that can be displayed in the Employee Portal for when observed staff members are signing off on their observations.
Portal.Evaluations.Professional Development.Approve Plans screen
- Supervisor and Principals can edit their Staff member's PDP Plans - give the responsibility of editing a staff member's Professional Development Plan to the Supervior and Principal approving roles that are assigned on the Professional Development Plan settings.
Portal.Evals.My Evaluations.NJSMART Screen
- Require Signature when Teacher did not qualify for mSGP - Teachers who receive mSGP normally re-sign evaluations after the state returns the SGP scores. If an mSGP teacher was determined to not qualify for mSGP, if this option is checked, they must re-sign the mSGP eval with an N/A SGP score. Note: Using this option may require changes to the mSGP pdf form to ensure the correct non-SGP percentages are displaying for this specific scenario.
Portal.Evals.My Evaluations.NJSMART Screen
- Supervisor and Principals can edit their Staff member's PDP Plans - Allows supervisors and principals to change / edit staff member's Professional Development Plans directly.
