PD Hours Settings

There are some settings specific to Professional Development Hours that you can change within Staff Management.

To view these settings in Staff Management, navigate to the "Evaluations" tab, the "Setup" tab, the "PD Hours" tab, and the "Settings" sub-tab.



Professional Development Hours on Employee Portal

You can edit whether "Records created by staff are read only to employee portal". This means that when checked, Professional Development hours cannot be created by a specific staff member for themself and that hours can only be created and assigned to them by administrators.

You can edit whether "Users can add their own Professional Development Hours". This means that when checked, staff members can log professional development hours that are specific to them.

Professional Development Hours Categories Setup

You can create different categories that staff can choose from to define a professional development hour by in the system.

Examples of this are:

  • In-Service/In District Hour
  • Out of District Hour

To add a Professional Development Hour category, click the "Add Category" button.

On the popup, create the category code, category description, if there are minimum hours required, and then click the "Add Category" button.



Please Note: These Professional Development Hour Categories are school year specific. You can have different categories between each year.
