Setting NE as the Final Practice Score

To report a staff member as “NE” for Not Evaluated, two parameters must be set on the staff member’s Personnel > Staff > Modify Staff  > NJSMART Eval screen:

1)  The “Override Summative Rating” checkbox must be checked.

2)  The “NE” score must be entered into the “Summative Rating” field.

Manually Marking a Staff Member as “Not Evaluated”

To mark a single staff member as “Not Evaluated”, do the following:

  1. Locate the staff member on the Personnel > Staff > Modify Staff > NJSMART Eval screen and open their record.

  2. Go to their Personnel > Staff > Modify Staff >NJSMART Eval screen.

  3. Scroll down and locate the “Override Summative Rating” checkbox and check it.

  4. Just beneath that, locate the “Summative Rating” field and enter “NE” into it (erasing any score that is already there).

  5. Then Scroll to the bottom and click Save to store the change.

Mass Setting “Not Evaluated” for a List of Staff Members

To mark a group of staff member as “Not Evaluated”, do the following:

  1. Create a Staff List of staff members you wish to mark as “Not Evaluated”.

  2. Go to the Personnel > Mass Change screen (See above):

  1. Select your prepared list of staff members to mark as “Not Evaluated”.

  2. Select the “Summative Rating” option in the “Data to Change” field. This brings up a hardwired “Override Value” field. This field is currently hardwired to “NE”. This field is read-only.

  3. Click the  button to either simulate or actually make the changes.

This function checks the “Override Summative Rating” checkbox for each staff member on the staff list, and then sets their “Summative Rating” field to “NE”.  All of these staff members will then be reported as ‘not evaluated’.
