SGO System Overview

The SchoolFi Evaluations SGO System

  • This system is based around the State of NJ SGO Form

  • The SGO system is configured by Evaluation Categories - the same Evaluations Categories used in the rest of the Evaluations system (e.g. Teacher, Principal, Counselor, Child Study Team, ....).  In the SGO Knowledge Pages, the Categories are frequently referred to as "SGO Categories" - these really are one and the same as the Evaluation Categories.  Customization of the system is on a Category-by-Category basis.

  • As with Evaluations itself, SGOs can be enabled for any and every Category - whether the results need to be reported to the State of NJ or not.

  • Each staff member can have up to 3 SGOs per School Year.

  • SGOs are tightly integrated with the rest of the Evaluations system and links to their SGOs will appear on staff member's Evaluations screens.

  • The SGO system accommodates a wide range of 'operational behavior' on the part of Districts

  • All access to the use of SGOs is via the Employee Portal: staff members create their SGOs there and Approvers view and approve SGOs there: the internal system is for setup only.

SGOs:  State of NJ

The SGO system defaults to the use of the standard State of NJ SGO form.
