Revisions vs Reviews
These are two mutually exclusive ways to update an SGO midway through the school year.
In a "Revision" the entire SGO can be re-worked: all fields are available to be updated.
In a "Review", the SGO cannot be reworked, but two text fields are provided where "review" commentary can be entered:
What is the Same: Revisions vs Reviews
In both mechanisms:
- A copy is made of the original SGO. This copy is completely 'frozen'.
- The SGO is opened to allow the originating Staff Member to either completely revise it (Revision) or enter reviewing text (Review).
- The originating Staff Member must re-submit the SGO when they have completed their Revision or Review.
- Their approver must re-approve the revised/reviewed plan.
What is Different?
- "Mid-Year Review" is available by default - Mid-Year Review must be specifically enabled during SGO setup. Find how to enable Reviews on this page.
- "Mid-Year Revision" allows anything and everything to be updated.
- "Mid-Year Review" does not allow any changes to the original text of the SGO, but provides two text fields ("Notes" and "Review"). The labels for these two fields can be overridden with local customizations.
